Traxstech Track - Ultimate Fishing System
The Traxstech track mount is extremely popular for all boats—especially among serious anglers—because it’s the ultimate solution for a truly modular fishing system. Whether you fish multiple species or switch tactics frequently (like going from a wide troll to a tighter spread), this mount offers the fastest on-the-fly reconfiguration. You can also remove your rod holders entirely to clear the deck when needed. It’s a favorite among bigger boats and multi-line enthusiasts, but it works just as well on smaller vessels that want maximum adjustability.
- Feature: Uses a secure, slim, anodized aluminum Traxstech track anywhere on your boat
- How It Works: Rod holder and wide range of accessories slides in the track’s T-slot. Thumb screws secure it in place once you find the right spot for quick placement.
- Ideal For: Anglers who regularly reposition rod holders. Those wanting a clean deck by removing holders when not fishing.
- In a Nutshell: Ultimate side-to-side adjustability and easy removal. Quickly adapt to different target species, fishing styles or any activity on the water.
Rail Mount - 3/4" to 2" No Drill
A Rail Mount is ideal for anglers who want a quick, no-modification setup. If you’re worried about drilling holes or if you change boats often, the clamp-on approach ensures you can move or remove the rod holder in minutes. It’s a popular choice for those who like simplicity and want to preserve their boat’s original look.
- Feature: Clamp-style bracket that locks around your rail. With 360 degree rotation option mounting locations are unlimited
- How It Works: Loosen clamp bolts, wrap around the rail, and tighten until secure. Through bolt design and stepped machined channel ensure NO twisting under load.
- Ideal For: Anglers who don’t want to drill. Boaters with solid bow or gunnel rails who like flexible placement.
- In a Nutshell: Fast, clamp-and-go installation. Easy to unclamp and relocate for different fishing spots or boat setups. Onlly truley engineered rail clamp on the market!
T-Bolt Channel Mount
T-Bolt Mounting is best if your boat already has factory-installed channels. Rather than drilling new holes, add track or rod holders, simply use the built-in angle mounts. It’s especially good for those who prefer a sleek, flush setup on the gunwale, without the extra hardware rails or clamps typically require.
- Feature: T-shaped bolt slides into angled gunwale channels (45°, 50°, 58°, 90°, etc.).
- How It Works: Insert the T-bolt head into the channel. Turn or tighten the mount from above to lock it in place.
- Ideal For: Boaters with factory channels in the gunwale. Anglers wanting a clean, no drill mount
Through Gunwale Mount
This option is best if your boat came equipped with a through-gunwale solution and you’d rather not install rail clamps. By using the existing holes or insert, you maintain the boat’s aesthetic and keep your deck area uncluttered. It’s a smart way to get 360° rotation or stable rod holding without modifying your boat’s original design.
- Feature: Adapts to an existing through-gunwale hole or flush receiver. Place any rod holder or accessory with added track or a West Coast Rod Holder.
- How It Works: Rod holder base is custom-fitted to drop in the receiver and lock. Some systems allow you to twist or pin the holder for a secure fit.
- Ideal For: Anglers whose boats already have a flush-mount or hole pattern. Anyone wanting to preserve factory based low-profile gunwale design.
In a Nutshell
Mounting is about how and where your rod holder attaches to your boat, shaping both convenience and success on the water. Do you want the freedom to slide holders along a track? Prefer a simple clamp-on approach so you don’t have to drill? Maybe your boat already has angled channels in the gunwale, or a through-gunwale system in place. Whichever route you take, our modular rod holders can adapt—ensuring your rods are always right where you want them.
By picking the right mounting style, you’ll keep your deck organized and your rods secure, whether you’re trolling offshore, drifting inland waters, or running multiple lines.
